Onlywire Autosubmit – A Wordpress Plugin
Ok, I’m writing this again , this time in English to reach a wider audience. (German/Deutscher Post here).
Update again: The plugin now remembers already submitted posts and won’t submit them twice (for instance when editing a post)
Update: Unfortunately some of you had Problems when using the Reward The Author Button, because it submitted two Sites and OnlyWire thought it was Spam. So I fixed this issue (it only submits one site now) and hope it’ll work from now on. Please keep on digging this post, as I think this Plugin can be of use to the majority of all (if not all) bloggers.
Update: Version v2 is out. New Features: Shows Options Page. Reward the Author Feature. Displays last submitted Item and if it was a success.
Social Bookmarking Sites can give you a lot of Traffic and Backlinks for your Blog . The only drawback: You have to go to all the Social Bookmarking Sites and submit your link there, if you made a new post. Probably this ist, what the founders of OnlyWire thought. OnlyWire is a Website, which makes it possible to submit your article to 16 Social Bookmarking Sites with one click.
This Plugin goes one step further. It uses the OnlyWire API, to submit every new Post you make to OnlyWire and therefore to 16 Social Bookmarking Sites. This is done automatically in the background. The only thing, you have to do, is editing the PHP-File and putting in the correcht values for $user and $password, so OnlyWire can identify you. If that’s done, you just have to move the file to your wp-content/plugins Folder and activate it through the admin panel. Now every Post you do is submitted to 16 Social Bookmarking Sites.

Not sure what I’m doing wrong, but I can’t get the plugin to work.
I name the file onlywireautosubmit.php right? Did that…
I included my username and password for onlywire.

That’s excactly what you should’ve done. What makes you think, the plugin doesn’t work?
It can’t give you any Succes Message or sth. like that: It just submits your new posts to OnlyWire.
Also notice: It just submits the new Posts you make, not the old ones, so you have to make a new one and visit one of the Bookmarking Sites, supported by OnlyWire to see if it worked.
I’m using it here, and it works pretty good for me.
Just thinking: Maybe you forgot to move the plugin file to the wp-contents/plugins/ Directory?

I think, you have (or your browser has) added a newline after the last line. If you delete it (there should be no newline or other character after the last ?>), everything should be fine.
When viewing the file in my Browser, it seems, the Browser added a newline when using [STRG+C]. But when editing the file using FTP, there’s no newline. I will add a notice to the post, to delete the newline!

All I get is:

What’s wrong? My whole blog is 2 post currently, so there’s no way I’m spamming Onlywire. I tried once more with test post and got same error message

The reward the author thing tries to bookmark 2 pages – one right after the other – thats the problem with the errors you get from the rewards button.

this answer was for me? this errors occur after posting new blog entry, not after clicking “reward the author of this plugin”… but wait, I checked, and it also gives this error.

Thank you for all the Comments. There seems to be a problem with the 6 posts limit – but I looked at my Source Code and think it’s OnlyWire who didn’t implement it in the right way (or don’t tell users how they implemented the limit).
Is the submitting two Pages a Problem? I never read aout that at OnlyWire.com. The two Pages are the Plugin Page and my Homepage, but I could just do one of them, if this is a problem… Anyone more information about that?

geiles Plugin. Mein Hoster, wie viele andere auch hat “URL file-access” disabled. Deshalb funktioniert das Plugin bei mir nicht. Ich hab einen Workaroud geschrieben.

Onlywire habe ich schon vor ein paar Monaten angeschrieben und immer noch keine Antwort bekommen.

You can try writing to OnlyWire? Did you notice this error, after you hit the Reward the Author button?
Maybe, I’m just too stupid. Any Wordpress Plugin Professional, who recongnizes the mistake in the Code?

Hi! The file permission should simple be: The executing user should be able to read and execute the file.
The Translator-Plugin I use doesn’t really work, so I’d recommend you check out http://dev.wp-plugins.org/

If these offline blogging tools trigger the posted event, they will post to onlywire, too. You should be able to check that, when you go to the Options Page of the Plugin, cause it should show you the last post posted.
Nein, das ist eigentlich nicht Absicht, scheint aber ganz gut so zu sein, deswegen lasse ich es. Seit ein paar Leute herkommen und hier Kommentare posten musste ich um die 20 Kommentare per Hand im Nachhinein löschen, da diese nur geposted haben, um Links zu fragwürdigen Seiten zu bekommen!

So, all I ever seem to get is the message that I’ve exceeded the maximum posts for the day. I intentionally waited until midnight+1 and retried, but I still get the message. I think the Onlywire API is messed up and the count is not getting reset.

Onlywire supports tags in their API, is here any way to incorporate the posts tags as part of the call to the Onlywire service?

Ya… this is an awesome idea but OnlyWire ALWAYS reports that I’ve exceeded my limit even if it’s the first post in over 24 hours. I can manually post the via the plugin page, but the autoposting doesn’t work. Any thoughts as to why that might be?

Yeah, I’m so sorry for everyone. But I double-checked the plugin, and I believe, it’s the people from Onlywire alias the Onlywire API that screws it up.

There is another wordpress plugin that have similar function like this called SocializeItPro but you have to purchase it in WPTraffic website. I already used it and you can submit to 43 social bookmarking sites when creating a new post but some of it didn’t work

Two problems:
1) It submits all scheduled future posts once created. Need a way to have it submit the post on the post date.
2) It appears to be submitting to Onlywire, but most posts do not appear in the social bookmark sites.

Hi everybody here I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THIS PLUGIN!
it does as described BUT when i go to those social sites and search for my posts and found nothing only in my private bookmark. for example in delicious i have to go there and make all my posts public so they can be backlinks. What i’m saying is those posts posted by onlywire will not go public until you go to social sites and set them yourself which is hard work and not auto. at all. Any suggesions?

I love this plugin – thank you so much for taking the time to create it! I have a question though. I notice 10 of my bookmarking sites show up as failure or finalize on the onlywire website. I don’t know why I would get either – I can login to the sites that onlywire claims requires finalization – so what gives? I know it has nothing to do with this plugin but if anyone could tell me why onlywire would be doing this I’d appreciate it.

I just started using onlywire (and this plugin) and it would appear you need to setup and onlywire account and an account for each of the bookmarking sites you want to post to. I’m actually creating a separate account for onlywire and the bookmarking sites for every autoblog in my farm. That’ll take a while!

I get this error message inside the Wordpress settings area:
You have reached this page because your API authentication failed. Usually this happens due to a bad username/password. Please check your user name and password and try again.

I was using this plugin successfully, but am now getting this error message:
“Error – You have already submitted 6 items today. Due to spammers misusing the system you are not allowed to submit more than 5 per day. Your counter will reset at midnight Pacific Standard Time. If you have a legitmate use for submitting more items per day you can request to have this limit increased

Hi,
I installed the plugin on my blog and entered the onlywire login details. Now how do I submit my posts?
Also, when i click the “reward the author button I get an error like: Warning: file_get_contents() [function.file-get-contents]: Filename cannot be empty in /public_html/wp-content/plugins/onlywireautosubmit.php on line 65
Can anyone help please?

Just installed Only Wire Auto submitter. But when I press “Reward the author” button I got this message:

Hi, It seems doesn’t work well with WP 3. I was using WP 2.9 & the autosubmitter work like charm, but stop submitting the post to onlywire after upgrading to WP3. Any clue? Thank you very much in advance….

I don’t know this plugin still working or not, now the website released new submitter which help the plugin to process the submission, but some submissions failed
